Exploring one of America’s most remote and prehistoric wildernesses - Isle Royale National Park 🥾🏞️ @isleroyalenps

Are you curious about life here? I’ve found myself so interested in this island, even after my visit.

So the island is open seasonally! No one actually lives on the island all year. There are no cars, no private homes, just a handful of rustic cabins and cottages. Isle Royale is the perfect place to unplug and just experience true wilderness.

Something I found so interesting - While humans are only allowed part of the year, wolves and moose roam full-time. Scientists have been studying their relationship for over 50 years which is the longest continuous study of any predator-prey system in the world. 🌎

My first time trying all of these places and can’t wait to go back!

@maxfishct Located in Glastonbury, I have visited some of the other locations and love them,so I was excited to visit this one. Went for their happy hour and the fish and chips and oysters were delish 🦪

@murphyspubandsportsbar - Great outdoor area with tons of tvs, perfect for sports games. Wings were 💣

@guysfoxwoods - The blackened blue cheese burger was phenomenal!This was my first time at any of @guyfieri resturants and didn’t disappoint. The environment was classy yet relaxed.

@redlanternct Asian fusion resturant at @foxwoods The lobster rangoons were my favorite! 🦞

@_elsol2 Came for their famous empanada tacos 👩🏻‍🍳💋

Land of Nod winery - part of the Connecticut wine trail located in the northwest corner of the state. I got to sample some of their sweet wines on their outdoor patio.

The dam is beautiful to visit all year round. There’s no entrance fee and no designated parking, most people park along the street.

A once in a lifetime experience! Isle Royale National Park and the Scoville Point Trail. The trail is just under 5 miles and perfect for those on a day trip adventure like me!

@isleroyalenps is located in Lake Superior in Michigans upper peninsula right by the Canadian border.

Remote and serene, the island offers a wilderness escape. I chose to fly in by seaplane for a day trip but others camp for weeks on end.

The island is open for part of the year and you have to book your transportation in advance.

Guiffrida Park Loop in Meriden, CT might be one of the best trails in Connecticut for fall foliage 🍁🍂

Wether you take the steep climb to the top or taking a walk around the lake you will get to see some of the best scenery.

Bash Bish Falls, Massachusetts 🍂
Located in Berkshire County - Massachusetts highest waterfall in the state.

You can complete this trail in Massachusetts or head over to NY trailhead in Taconic state park.

If you’re interested in the more challenging route - take the Massachusetts trail. The New York trail is more accessible to all hiking levels, but both get to enjoy the views of the Bash Bish falls.

Day five : the perfect one day itinerary if you are visiting the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and you find yourself in Marquette.

Presque Isle Park has breathtaking views of Lake Superior - and depending on what time of the year you visit you can either drive or walk through the park.

@thedelftbistro was the perfect choice for lunch - $5 tacos on Wednesdays!

You can get pasties all over the UP - but they say the best are from Muldoons. I was in love with their apple pie too!

The @picturedrockscruises was the best way to end the evening.

Leaving St. Ignace and heading to spend two nights in Marquette, MI. But before getting there there are two must stops you cannot miss.

Tahquamenon Falls State Park - home to Michigans largest waterfall. You can easily spend half a day here.

Kitch-iti-kipi - Michigans largest natural freshwater spring - the water is so clear you can see the bottom!

Presque Isle - Marquette, MI
Golden shores, rugged cliffs and endless blue skies.

If you are visiting Michigans Upper Peninsula- this park must be on your list!

I wasn’t even going to visit this park - but if you are looking to do anything on the water - kayak, cruises, etc be sure to stay connected with the weather. All cruises were cancelled due to rough winds.

Which led me to this gorgeous park. It’s 2.7 miles, during certain hours you can drive through. I liked having the option to drive certain parts and park.

You can feel Lake Superior and how strong it is, the incredible views of the cliffs are breathtaking.

Lake Superior has spent years shaping the cliffs and the best way to see is from the water.

I took the @picturedrockscruises - the sunset cruise for $55. It was the only cruise running that day due to high winds.

But the waves were wild, scenery was beautiful and it was a great way to end the day. 🌊
